Who runs this

Own Your Atlas is operated by Why What Matters (와이왓매터스). The programme itself is designed and led by two people, Nai Kim and Jay Lee.

For anything about your data, write to hello@ownyouratlas.com.

What we collect

There are three places on this site where you can leave information, and they ask for different things.

  • Registration and notify form — your name, email address, and phone number, plus whatever you tell us: which track interests you, where you are right now, what you do, which AI tools you have tried, and what you want out of this.
  • Self-assessment — the same, minus the phone number. Your result (stage and score) is recorded with it.
  • Opening the worksheet — name and email address only.
  • How you arrived — campaign tags (utm), the domain of the site you came from, and the language you are reading in.

What we deliberately do not store

It seems more useful to be specific about this than to say we take privacy seriously.

  • The answers you write in the worksheet — used only to send you the copy you asked for, never written to our database.
  • Your IP address — held briefly to stop the same visitor submitting a form over and over, and not recorded.
  • The full address of the page you came from — we keep the domain and throw the rest away, because other people's URLs sometimes carry personal data in them.
  • Card and payment details — this site does not take payment.

Why we collect it

To answer you, and to tell you when dates are confirmed.

What you tell us about your situation shapes how a cohort is put together. Assessment results are used to write your result page and to see which stage most people are at.

Arrival data tells us which of our own posts actually reach anyone.

We do not sell personal data, do not use it for ad targeting, and do not use it to train AI models.

05Privacy

Who sees it

When you register, both facilitators — Nai Kim and Jay Lee — receive the same submission. This is a programme two people design and run together, and they read the same registrations.

Beyond that, the companies below process data as far as running the service requires. The location shown is where this site actually stores things, not where each company is headquartered.

How long we keep it

Registrations are kept until one year after the programme ends, so that people who already attended are not sent the same invitation again.

Ask us to delete it sooner and we will, within 30 days. We will not ask why.

Worksheet answers are, as above, never stored in the first place.

07Privacy

What you can ask for

A copy of what we hold, a correction, deletion, or to stop receiving email from us.

Write to hello@ownyouratlas.com and we will do it and tell you it is done. Nothing in this policy limits the rights your own country's data protection law gives you.

08Privacy

Cookies and analytics

Google Analytics tells us which pages get opened. The point is to see which explanations are being read, not to identify individual visitors.

Your language choice is stored in one cookie so the site opens in the same language next time.

There is no advertising tracker on this site.

09Privacy

Children

This programme is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 14.

If this policy changes

Any real change comes with a new effective date. If a change affects how we handle information you already gave us, we will email you about it.
